Welcome to The Fancott Miniature Railway
The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over 30 years in one form or another.
The weekend was a busy one at the railway. Some of our volunteers have been busy building a new canopy for the station, which has meant clearing the bushes and trees around the area. We also saw another driver being trained on the steam engine, and new locos being built. This couldn’t happen without the amazing team of volunteers we have, who dedicate their time to making this little piece of Bedfordshire a unique place for our visitors. Scamp 152 ‘Sammy’ got to work today shunting wood and felt up to the station for the new canopy! Lots of pushing and pulling and lifting from our crew of volunteers. We still reckon Sammy worked the hardest though. 🤣
