What a rainy old day! Thank you to everyone who ventured out to the first day of our Scamp Invasion. The rain was so heavy, but the crew still got on with taking passengers out, double top and tailing to make it easier to get up the hill! After our running day our fantastic team of volunteers enjoyed a group BBQ to celebrate their amazing efforts, where we also had the chance to officially announce our new loco Peggy (Pippa) ready for the tracks! Alan, our loco builder, was presented with a builder’s plaque which will go on her tender, while we then handed over the key to Peggy to our driver trainer, Tony. It was a lovely day!! And welcoming the rain means we will very soon be welcome steam back to the railway too! ... See MoreSee Less
