Welcome to The Fancott Miniature Railway
The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over half a century in one form or another.
Sadly the heat and VERY dry grass around the track means our steamie drivers have decided, for safety reason, not to take Davanna out today. We will, however, be taking Herbie, Dark Star and possibly Sammy! Still on track for a fun day at the Fancott!
We have some absolutely incredible volunteers! Kevin, Bill and Mark have been busy over the last few months building our new canopy at the station - a much welcome feature in this heat as it certainly keeps our carriages cool! Still a little way to go before it’s finished! If you see them working hard up at the station, please do say hello and well done! #volunteersmakeadifference #volunteering

Absolutely magical and for £3.50 a ride good value even better when you can go for a long way round through the gardens and forest at the bottom real magical don’t hesitate get down to the Van arms today

Exciting future ahead for our little railway! Today we took possession of more track with the intention to add to the railway in the future! There’s a lot of work to be done for this, and more track to buy as well as ground to prepare. But the 25+ year plan to add a second loop is finally in sight!!

Welcome to Friday! We’ve got another glorious weekend ahead of us, so pop along to the Fancott for some fun on the rails of history! Rides start at 12.30 with the last at 4.50. As always, just £3 per person per ride. Please note that, due to the heat, our fabulous volunteers will be taking short comfort breaks to keep cool and hydrated, so please be patient with us!
