Welcome to The Fancott Miniature Railway
The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over 30 years in one form or another.
The weekend saw more steam driver training. Our driver has been driving the other Fancott locos for years and is now being trained on Davanna - this is a long process, starting with cleaning the loco and getting her into steam before being trained on the turn arounds. Lots of fun!
Manny manny drivers have learned on davanna over the years. Was one of the first locos I drove when I was a juniour at swanley. Manny memories made on it whiel it was at fenn Bell to !!
The end of another great day, with wonderful weather! Davanna and Phoenix were out and about for the afternoon, taking lots of passengers around. Thanks to everyone to visited this weekend. Bill, Mark and Kevin have been tirelessly working on the construction of a new canopy at the station - you’ve probably seen the work going on. It’s looking fantastic and will be a really lovely feature!
Alan has been working incredibly hard on the restoration of Pippa, with help from Tony, Stevie and Jamie. Pippa was one of our locos destroyed in the 2015 Fire of Fancott. Today, Pippa made it out on the tracks without another engine for support!
